Scouts
This week at scouts I went to the Greymouth fire station. We got to phone 111. We also got to look at all the equipment that they use like the jaws of life we also got to go inside one it looked really cool. There was a really old fire truck there and I think it looked cool

Explanation
This week we did explanations. I did mine on steam trains here is my writing
first The engineer shovels the coal into the fire box the fire box heats up the boiler which is a big water tank.
the steam from the boiler goes through a pipe down to the pistons.
The pistons push the crankshaft and the crankshaft moves the wheel the chimney let the smoke from the fire box out.

akaroa
Last week I went to akaroa with my Nana she took me and my sister to barrys bay cheese and we got some cheese it tasted really good .next we went on the harbour cruise and we saw some hector dolphins. and for dinner we went to bully hayes. the next day we went to the museum and found joseph libeu and he is my relative. We found his wine glass and information about when he came over from France. I had a fun weekend with my family.

Something I am Proud of
Last week I got a new motorbike and I am proud of it because I can ride a lot faster and clean it easier. and it has reverse. This bike is bigger than my last one and I am proud that I can ride it faster.

Ukulele
This week we were learning how to play the ukulele. I am really enjoying it because we don't have to do school work whilst we are learning it. My favourite chord is Am because I like the sound that it makes. I am hoping to learn a song to play with the class real soon!

anzac biscuits
last week i made anzac biscuits i had lots of fun making them and at the end they tasted really good. here's how to make them
first you will need
1/2 cup flour
1/3 sugar
2/3 cup coconut
3/4 cup rolled oats
50g butter
1 Tbsp golden syrup
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 Tbsp boiling water
Instructions:
1. Turn oven on to bake and 180 degrees
2. In a bowl mix flour, sugar, coconut & rolled oats
3. Melt golden syrup and butter in a microwave proof bowl for 1 minute.
4. In a cup mix the baking soda with the boiling water.
5. Add the baking soda mix to the golden syrup and butter mixture
6, Then add to the flour mixture and stir well. Make sure there is no flour in the bottom of the bowl.
7. Using a tablespoon scoop mix and roll in to balls.
8. Place on a greased baking tray and put in the oven.
9. Bake for 15mins or until golden brown.
10. Enjoy
