Getting to Hanmer Camp

This is a map that shows how we will get to our school camp in Hanmer next week. 

Brunner Mine Trip

This week my class went to the Brunner Mine site  to see where the book we are reading was set.

We got to do some scenes. I liked this because I got to be the doctor.

 My favourite part was when they told us about the the brick mine and how the bricks were fire resistant.

Grandparents day term 4

A few weeks ago it was Grandparents day.
My Great Granddad and my Great Nana came and I enjoyed it because I got to see them. I showed  them some of my work and
then I showed my Nana to the morning tea room where they had morning tea with the other grandparents. 
Then they had to go.   I hope they come back again next year.

This week  in writing we have been looking at writing descriptive paragraphs about the nikau palm.  Here is my favourite describing sentence:

The Nikau palm is a great tall tree that stands out of the other trees because the branches poke out of the top of the trunk.

Meet Me Week 4

Hello my name is Levi and welcome to my blog. I go to Grey Main School. I am a year 6. I like lego and drawing. I have 2 cats and a fish. My cat's names are Chase & Gypsy. My Fish's name is Googly Eyes. My favourite rainy day subject is Minecraft & Jurassic world. My teachers are Mrs Clark and Mrs Prendergast 

Numeracy Reflection

For numeracy this week we did problem solving.  We had four problems to work on and we had to decide how we were going to work it out.  here is one of the problems I solved.  I found this a little bit hard to start with but then I used a whiteboard to work it out.  How would you solve this problem?

term 2 reflection

What have I enjoyed about this term?

I have enjoyed the art this term.   Looking at Robert Delaney and then producing two pieces of art using his style.   I am very proud of my artwork.

What have I not enjoyed about the term?

I didn't like the cross country run.   I liked the obstacle course part,  but the run itself was boring.   

What is one thing that I am going to focus on next term?

Listening to instructions,  and focusing on my work.

What is one thing that I would like to continue next term?

Is to do art because i think art is fun to do i like pastel paint and hand art.
